I'm Victoria, a Michigan wedding photographer and I absolutely love shooting weddings in the Kalamazoo area. Southwest Michigan has some of the most stunning natural light in the state — especially in fall, when the colour arrives early and the golden hour feels endless. Kalamazoo couples bring an openness and warmth to every session that I find genuinely refreshing. I photograph weddings across southwest Michigan and throughout the state. Do you travel to Kalamazoo for weddings?
Yes — Kalamazoo and the surrounding southwest Michigan area, including Portage, Oshtemo, and nearby townships, are within my regular travel area. There are no travel fees for Kalamazoo-area weddings.
Have you photographed at Kalamazoo-area venues before?
I have shot weddings at a range of Kalamazoo venues, from the historic elegance of Henderson Castle to Bell's Brewery and local farm estates. I'm happy to discuss your specific venue and share what I know about making the most of the space photographically.
What time of year is best for a Kalamazoo outdoor wedding?
Southwest Michigan is beautiful year-round, but late September through mid-October is spectacular for outdoor weddings — the fall colour in the Kalamazoo area arrives early and is among the richest in the state. Late spring (May–June) is also wonderful, with longer golden hours and lush greenery.
